Peanut Butter Bites

These sweet little Peanut Butter Bites are the perfect make-ahead snack for tiny hands; plus they’re packed with brain-boosting omega-3 fatty acids!

After realizing my toddler’s snack repertoire consists primarily of carb-centered foods, I started wracking my brains trying to figure out how to get more healthy fats in his little body. He’s not big on cheese quite yet and is not fond of the texture of avocado; pb&j is just too messy. Ding Ding - peanut butter bites! I kept ‘em simple with this recipe since it was our first try. But you can absolutely jazz these up with raisins, mini chocolate chips, shredded coconut, etc. And if you have someone with a peanut allergy, you can absolutely swap the PB out for cashew butter, almond butter, sunflower butter, or another of your favorites.

With only 129 calories per 1 ounce serving (4 bites) and 6 grams fat, this snack is the solution to my healthy fat conundrum. Try them for yourself and let me know what you think!

Nutrition per 1 ounce serving: 129 calories, 6g fat, 1g saturated fat, 15g carbohydrates, 1g fiber, 8 grams sugar, 4 g protein
